401k Enrollment involves choosing to register for an employer’s
401k plan. In the typical 401k plan, employees decide whether to invest, how
much to invest, how the money is invested. Investments are commonly made through
payroll deductions.
In some cases, larger employers automatically enroll workers. Companies can
automatically enroll its newly hired employees as long as they are properly
informed and have the opportunity to opt out.
