Nest Egg

"Nest Egg" is a term used to refer to the assets that one puts aside for retirement.  Such assets are usually invested to provide the retiree with a secure standard of living for the rest their life in retirement. For example, an investment in an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) would be considered part of a nest egg.
