Odd Lot


The term Odd Lot is commonly used to refer to orders of less than one hundred shares of stock.
The amount of shares considered to be a trading unit in an exchange is
usually one hundred shares. Orders smaller that this are referred to as an odd
lot.
Odd lots are normally bunched with other orders or put through a
special system.
